He admits that Sabertooth doesn’t understand the concept of friendship and implies that he doesn’t have friends. However, like Sting, I don’t think he understands friendship too well at first. In my opinion, Rogue is a little more caring toward his guild mates than Sting, with a slightly better understanding of how to treat others well before the GMG than his fellow Dragon Slayer. After Natsu breaks into Sabertooth’s lodgings at the GMG, Rogue realizes that there is a severe lack of camaraderie within his guild. He even told Sting that, even though she lost, Yukino was still their comrade. When Yukino was excommunicated from Sabertooth, he questioned Jiemma’s actions toward her. Although a member of Sabertooth (and one of their strongest), he doesn’t always seem to agree with the way things work in his guild. Since he is reserved and chooses not to express much emotion at all, an OC who is understanding of others’ feelings might be a better match for him. Don’t expect him to be very open about his feelings to a significant other. In a relationship, I think he would be fairly calm and he would like someone who isn’t annoying or childish. I highly doubt he would be interested in a hyperactive person, or someone who is overly energetic or goofy. In fact, when something doesn’t faze him, he seems to be bored by it. When told several times that Natsu and Gajeel would be participating in the GMG, he didn’t lose his calm composure and become excited–he said he didn’t care. He doesn’t really show his emotions or wear them on his sleeve. Between him and Sting, he is the quieter one. Like with the Sting article, this one will focus on Rogue before the GMG.
